New Things will Happen in 2019

It’s a new year and new years resolutions are being made all over the world. Many people will try to eat better, and exercise more. As for us farmers, we’d like to be more organized in 2019!

Recently we noticed that since living on 2 acres we have accumulated stuff around the property in hopes to have the time to create something fantastic! (If you are creative, you know what we’re talking about!) Some of the stuff we’ve got for free from the offer-up app, or craigslist. As nice as it may be, let’s face it, free just doesn’t help get the project done. So in efforts to be more organized we’ll said goodbye to the big tree logs that were suppose to be planters, pallets that were going to be walls, and broken swings that needed to be repaired. You know what they say, one mans trash is definitely another mans treasure and sometime you have to get rid of the old to prepare yourself for the new. So as tough as it was we gave away many incomplete projects so that we can focus on all the other exciting projects around the farm.

There were several things we wanted to accomplish for the beginning of 2019, one being the launch of our website! (yes, we finally did it!) This will help us be more organized for sure! As for the farm one of the things Farmer Marty does to be organized is have shovels and tools available in several places through out the farm so that we don’t have to spend time looking for them. Farmer Kim recently purchased a stamp for our egg cartons, stocked up on labels, butcher paper, and twine to be sure were organized in our packing area. Packing area? Yes, were working on that too this year, stay tuned!

As we go into the new year being more organized were also anticipating new produce, fun classes and lots of new friends! If you have any tips that work for you on being organized we’d love to hear it!
